Position information

The Social Media Coordinator peer advisor position supports our program’s online communication with students. Build your portfolio, promote student and advisor stories, and share your gifts with our community!  Responsibilities include:

Social Media Materials

  • Create and curate social media content
    • Take photos at events and/or create original video
    • Design social media campaigns to engage and grow Pathway audience
    • Create copy and media for campaigns
  • Monitor and record analytical data for assessment
  • Help develop and evaluate the program’s social media strategy

PathwayOregon Communications Team

  • Help advisors prepare content for our bi-weekly email newsletter
  • Curate program-relevant events to promote to students
  • Collaborate with a group of PathwayOregon advisors and peer advisors to design and implement our communications strategy

Desired Qualifications

  • Work-study eligible
  • Experience writing content for social media/web
  • Experience using social media platforms and interpreting analytics
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Interest in finding creative ways to speak to/engage/grow the PathwayOregon audience
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to craft communications with an eye to audience and tone
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback

Compensation and Hours

The PathwayOregon Peer Advisor is paid $12-12.50/hr. and is expected to work 5 hours per week.

Position information

The Marketing and Communications peer advisor supports PathwayOregon by working collaboratively to create marketing materials, including print, video, and photography. Build your portfolio, promote student and advisor stories, and share your gifts with our community!  Responsibilities include:

Marketing Materials

  • Create original video content promoting programming and events
  • Create graphics and promotional materials for PathwayOregon events and resources
  • Help us build and maintain a stock of PathwayOregon-relevant photos and images
  • Help evaluate and propose updates/redesigns to our communications and media

PathwayOregon Communications Team

  • Collaborate with a group of PathwayOregon advisors and peer advisors to design and implement our communications strategy

Desired Qualifications

  • Work-study eligible
